Since By Man Announce Final Show |
|
4.1.08 |
|
| Since By Man have announced their final show as they have officially announced their break up.
Guitarist Brad Clifford comments:
"In the last year and half, none of us have ever really officially said that we broke up. Schedules just got busy and the time to move on and start the next proverbial chapter or whatever you want to call it was there. We're still great friends, and the band was and still is something incredibly important to all of us.
After a year and a half of waiting, we're finally playing one last show to properly put the last nail in the Since By Man coffin. It's absurdly fucking busy, but we're all finally able to get together on April 26th in Milwaukee, WI to get down one last time and give a proper finale to the band after a decade of broken equipment, sweating bodies, bleeding heads, the times of our lives... and do it with our greatest friends in tow. Come get buck."
Saturday, April 26th

Revelation Records To Publish The Anti-Matter Anthology Book |
|
10.23.07 |
|
Hey everyone --
Between 1993 and 1995 -- right in the middle of forming Texas Is The Reason -- I was much better known for a fanzine I published out of my New York City bedroom. That fanzine, called Anti-Matter, was an incredibly important experience to me that I've always looked upon fondly. It was more than just a music magazine; it was a dialogue between a bunch of twenty-something kids whose dysfunctional teenage years brought them into the hardcore punk scene without an exit strategy. It was about growing up, sometimes embarrassingly and other times triumphantly, in public.
This fall, Revelation Records will be publishing a collection of interviews from this fanzine (and some related magazine writing I did in the 90s) in a book we're calling "The Anti-Matter Anthology: A 1990s Post-Punk & Hardcore Reader." It features in-depth conversations with artists like Sick Of It All, Snapcase, Quicksand, Rage Against The Machine, Elliott Smith, Ressurection, Mouthpiece, Sunny Day Real Estate, Jawbox, Shelter, Rancid, Ian MacKaye, Farside, and more. I'm really proud of it.
We just launched a MySpace page for the book, which will give some more detail, as well as a regular blog to share memories of the era, a music player featuring artists in the book, and exciting upcoming announcements about a book-release concert (it's gonna be good!) and in-store discussions/signings with, umm, me (and perhaps some special friends?). If you're into that sort of thing.
So come on down and be my friend:
The Official Anti-Matter MySpace Page
Thanks for listening, and I'll see you there!
